Real-Time Location Software
Accurate location data is only half the solution. The other half is putting the data to work in custom applications. Q-Track’s flexible Real-Time Location software platform is based on the .NET 4.0 framework and has a mature Application Programming Interface (API) enabling the creation of third party applications. All the objects and delegates are written in C# 4.0. Furthermore all data is recorded to a relational SQL database for post-processing and further analysis including the recording and playback of tracking sessions such as After-Action-Reports or Daily Status Reports.
One location server serves as a “Zone Engine” to coordinate tracking data from up to twelve NFER® Locator-Receivers – enough to track about 2000-4000m2 (20,000-40,000 sqft) depending on the environment and the noise background.
One Zone is enough for some applications, but others require more coverage.
Scalability with Quicksilver™
Q-Track’s NFER® Indoor Location Solutions are scalable using “Quicksilver™.” Q-Track’s Quicksilver™ ties together Zone Engines for multiple tracking zones so as to create an arbitrarily large tracking solution. Q-Track has experience with Quicksilver™ deployments of up to 50,000m2 (500,000 sqft). Larger deployments are possible.
The Q-Track API:
- Provides an interface between clients, position engines, and Quicksilver server.
- Is TCP sockets based, for speed.
- Uses a callback model to notify registrants when data is available.
- Uses a Key-Value pair model to serialize and transmit data.
